Scammers pretending to be Keller West employees
It has come to our attention that scammers are contacting people via WhatsApp, email and LinkedIn InMail pretending to work for Keller West and offering fake job opportunities. We therefore want to urge people to be aware of potential fraud in the recruitment process and to be vigilant.
This scam is unfortunately widespread. We are aware of many other recruitment firms also being affected.
Scammers may exhibit certain warning signs, such as poor grammar and spelling, unusual or unofficial email addresses, or insisting on urgency or immediate action. Genuine offers from Keller West will always be professional, clear and provide ample time for consideration.
We do sometimes communicate with candidates and clients using WhatsApp and LinkedIn InMail, but we will never:
- Ask for your bank details via WhatsApp or LinkedIn InMail
- Request payment via WhatsApp or LinkedIn InMail
- Request payment for our services via WhatsApp or LinkedIn InMail
- Demand personal information or copies of your identification documents via WhatsApp or LinkedIn InMail
A Keller West consultant will never send you a link via WhatsApp. If you receive a message via WhatsApp, email or LinkedIn InMail from someone you do not recognise, claiming to work for Keller West, please check this is one of our consultants.
The people contacting you with these spam messages do not work for Keller West. They have not obtained your information from Keller West. Our data security has not been compromised.
